Seeds are planted on over 600,000 Hectares of pristine United Kingdom farmland.
Never touched by a human! Only water and the nutrients from the nutrient dense soil. Plus add a ton of sunshine!
Once the poppies reach their ripest moment and are full of juicy, flavorful seeds. They are harvested by machine. Fully in tact. From the base of the stalk, all the way up to the pod.
They are transported in open top trailers. Just a couple miles up the road to the processing plant. Which is also the exporter. One exporter has the sole responsibility. To harvest all of the UK’s poppy seed.
They are processed right away. The seeds go off to a dryer and the stalks/pods sent to a grinder then heater.
Finally packaged into 25KGS bags. Then sent to the port.
The pallets of seed bags are loaded onto 40 foot sea containers. Which are then loaded on to a ship.
Two full weeks later. The ship lands at the port. The importer sends his trailers to pick up the sea containers.
After samples are taken for QC. They then go over the road to our docks.
Once landed here. They are Quality Controlled again. We only sell, what we would personally use! We have high standards.
You place an order and then within 1 to 3 business days. You receive your order. Our seed is never older than 1 -2 months straight from the farm!
